The world was absolutely stunned when the co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, died at the age of 56.  It seemed way too soon to be losing such an incredibly talented man.  During his lifetime, Steve Jobs built Apple into one of the greatest tech companies in the entire world.  But, like all of us, Steve Jobs eventually had to leave this earth.  According to his sister, Mona Simpson, the last words of Steve Jobs were the following: "Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow."  So what did these last words of Steve Jobs mean?  Did he see something?  Was he in the process of leaving his body?  Did he see "the light" that so many that have gone through near death experiences talk about?  Did he see heaven?  Did he see hell?  Was he reflecting on what it felt like to die?  Did his life flash in front of his eyes?  Unfortunately, for now at least, what Steve Jobs saw and experienced during his dying moments will remain a mystery.

If only Steve Jobs could have come back to life and told us what was on the other side.  Wouldn't that have been amazing?
Well, the truth is that there have been thousands upon thousands of people that have gone to the other side and that have come back with reports of what it is like.  In my research, I have found that the vast majority of these "life after death" stories are remarkably consistent.
One of my favorite near death stories involves a woman named Tamara Laroux.  As a young woman, she was in an immense amount of emotional pain.  One day she decided to finally end it once and for all and she took a gun and shot herself in the chest.  What happened next was a complete and total shock to her....

Another one of my favorite near death experiences involves a little boy named Colton Burpo.
When Colton was 4 years old, he had to undergo emergency surgery.  While in emergency surgery, Colton died.  While he was dead, Colton was actually able to see what his mother and father were doing.  When Colton later told them about this they were absolutely amazed because he was in surgery at the time and they were not in the same room with him.
After that, Colton was transported to heaven.  While in heaven, Colton met his great-grandfather, who had died long before Colton was born.  After Colton came back he was able to pick out pictures of his great-grandfather from a photo album.
In addition, Colton says that he actually saw God the Father and met the Lord Jesus Christ.  Colton also claims that he saw Samson, David and John the Baptist.
One thing that really validated this experience for his family was when Colton told his mother that she had miscarried a little girl at one point.  His mother had never told Colton about that, but it was the truth.  Colton met his little sister that was never born during his trip to heaven.
The following is a video of Colton and his father discussing their new book entitled "Heaven Is For Real"....

So did Steve Jobs experience something similar to what Tamara Laroux and Colton Burpo experienced?
Did Steve Jobs catch a glimpse of heaven before he died?
Did Steve Jobs catch a glimpse of hell before he died?
We simply don't know.
For now, we are just left with the famous last words of Steve Jobs: "Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow."
