bravehearts preparedness tips

Peace,
If I found myself in such a situation in the here and now, here is what I would do:
1) Have a few silver coins I can slip into my pocket or sew into my clothes to get me out of some emergency, should it arise. Also a bit of cash.
2) Buy food stuffs I can take with me and even barter with if need be. For instance, a bottle of vitamins, oregano oil (for any kind of biologic attack), small bottle of olive oil to take the oregano oil with; also a small bottle of Neem Oil to take care of any skin problems that might arise in your environment; Atkins bars, the ones that have 17-19 grams of protein. Two of those a day can actually keep you going a long time. And any other compact stuff that would see you out of there.
3) I’d put together a small back pack with an emergency set of dry clothes; a big plastic garbage bag, scissors, knife, string, post it note pad, pen, fork, spoon, bottle of water, matches, small bottle of MMS for purifying water on the fly. gloves & hat. metallic blanket. small bar of soap. small hatchet. small bottle of hydrogen peroxide for wounds and for mouthwash…also to drop into ears if I started feeling like I was coming down with something. vaseline or lotion of some type. I’d strap a good heavy jacket to my pack.
4) I’d make sure I had a good pair of trekking boots that were already broken in and several pairs of dry socks.
5) Also a map of the area. And I would have figured out in advance the best, likely safest way out of the city. And some general direction or area to go to that drew me.
6) I would then monitor the situation with a keen eye. When it got bad enough that it looked like the next step was to lock down the city, I would put on my boots, grab my pack, hide it in my vehicle and drive as far as I could before it was too late. Then I’d take off on foot the rest of the way, if necessary or when roadblocks began to show up.
7) Oh, and make sure your vehicle is always gassed up and that you have an extra 5 gallon can stashed in the back to keep you going.
8) the other thing I would do is Make Sure I was listening to myself. That part of us is going to make all the difference in the days ahead. Because it can and will keep you out of danger on your journey.
NOTE: Generally speaking, I’d say you have until about July before the really bad stuff begins to hit the fan. I have an uncle in New York City that is planning on being out by June.
Those are just my thoughts. Perhaps others will fill in the things I’ve missed or give you even better advice. Listen to all of us, then YOU decide what is right for you. You’ll know. Trust it.
You take care. You will be in my prayers.
